Katharine House Hospice

Katharine House Hospice offers specialist palliative care in a range of settings to suit the current needs of the individual.  The focus is on holistic care aimed at enabling patients to live as fully as possible while having their needs attended to.

Hospice Care is free so fundraising is essential to help them continue their work.

BYHP

(Banbury Young Homeless Project)

BYHP exists to support and assist Young People in finding and maintaining a safe home from which they may be assisted to determine their own opportunities in life.

Over the past 23 years, BYHP has been working with Young People aged 16-25 who are homeless, inappropriately housed or at risk of becoming homeless, and developed a range of services to assist Young People aged 13-25 from becoming homeless.

Frank Wise

School

Frank Wise School is a community special school for pupils between the ages of 2 and 19 serving the area around Banbury and the north of Oxfordshire. Described as being “Outstanding and Inspirational” by Ofsted, the school is characterised by a strong belief in highly individualised and inclusive provision. As such they group our pupils solely by age and are committed to providing weekly access to mainstream learning opportunities for all of their pupils.

Banbury FoodBank

13 million people live below the poverty line in the UK. The foodbank provides a minimum of 3 days emergency food and support to local people in crisis.

In the last financial year (2012-13) the Trussell Trust Foodbank Network has fed 346,992 people nationwide. This more than doubles the numbers fed in the previous year.

Banbury & Chipping Norton Home-Start

Home-Start Banbury & Chipping Norton is a voluntary organisation which is committed to promoting the welfare of families with at least one child under five years of age.

Volunteers offer regular support, friendship and practical help to families under stress in their own homes helping to prevent family crisis and breakdown.

Agnes Court - Leonard Cheshire Care Home

Agnes Court is a home with nursing care, providing a range of services for adults with physical disabilities.

The home is a bright, modern building in a fantastic location in the centre of Banbury, Oxfordshire. The purpose-built home accommodates 24 residents, with all rooms enjoying en-suite facilities.

The home is equipped with assistive technology, which enables our residents to open doors, control lighting and enjoy other facilities independently.

Band

The Shires Royal British Legion Youth Band was formed in 2011 from the Bodicote Royal British Legion Youth Band, which formed in 1985, and is based in North Oxfordshire near Banbury. Our objective is to promote interest in the Royal British Legion for all people via Music, Comradeship, Personal Development and most importantly FUN!

Mates 'n' Dates

Mates ‘n’ Dates is a dating and friendship agency for adults with learning disabilities in Oxfordshire.

We support adults with a learning disability to make new friends, to date and to develop relationships.

People with learning disabilities want to be the same as everybody else this means they want friends and maybe a partner. Mates ‘n’ Dates has been developed to help make this basic right a reality.

Mates ‘n’ Dates has now been open for 5 years, and has over 260 members, who live in Oxfordshire.
