ABOUT US

I’m a Production Manager from Banbury. I joined Rotaract in August 2012 after reading an article in the local paper about Banbury Rotaract's challenge to climb mount Snowdon to raise money for a local hospice. A week later I joined them and successfully completed our  time trial challenge of Mount Snowdon which is the best highlight yet.

Since joining Rotaract I have met some great people and made a lot of friends. I enjoy helping out at as many events as I can and making a small difference in the local community.

I joined Rotaract in 2012 after being introduced to the group by family friends who are members of our parent club Banbury Cherwell Rotary.  I am a secondary School Mathematics Teacher and in my spare time I enjoy playing and listening to music as well as taking part in outdoor activities with my boyfriend who I met through Rotaract.  My highlight in Rotaract so far would have to be our Charter night in 2013 when we became an official club.

I joined Rotaract after Kelly told me about the Banbury Rotaract. I joined in April 2014 as a way to meet new people and try something new.

I have not been involved for very long, however, I did take part in the Katharine House Hospice coffee morning which was good for socialising and having a laugh.

I found Rotaract through the Cherwell Rotary Website while researching clubs in the local area and joined in February 2013.  I have lived in Banbury all my life and work in Customer Service. I joined Rotaract as I wanted to get involved in the local community and meet new people.
My hobbies include baking cakes, watching musical theatre and I love to travel.
My most memorable moment in Rotaract so far was Grimsbury Family Fun Day 2013 as it was lovely sunny day. I enjoyed talking to the local community, selling cakes, playing games.

Being new to Banbury I joined Banbury Rotaract in 2014 as a chance to meet new people and give something back to the local community. I enjoy the weekly meet ups as everyone is so friendly and welcoming! My highlight so far has been volunteering at a concert in a castle. I have found the people I've met so far to be inspiring with the work that has been done in the local community and beyond, it really makes you want to get involved, and be part of something amazing. For my work as a Social Worker I support families in Oxfordshire which I really enjoy. My hobbies include walking and baking cakes.

I am an honorary member of Banbury Rotaract. Unfortunately I live too far away to become official but I love helping out at as many events as I can. I have helped bake many cakes, pour many a cup of tea and stand out in the rain or sun when required. It is such a good cause that when asked to bake cookies themed on Alice and Wonderland why would I possibly say no!

I joined Banbury Rotaract Club in 2012 and my highlight so far has to be out Snowdon Challenge where I got to know the welsh sheep extremely well.

I work for a local company supervising colleagues who do all the heavy lifting.  In my spare time I enjoy going away with friends and exploring what the hotels have to offer, when I am not jet setting around the world I spend my time with friends at BBQs.

I work as a car salesman and as a reserve firefighter.  I like to keey busy with DIY including fitting kitchens, laying patios and building sheds.  My main inspiration is my grandfather.

I moved to Banbury at the age of 6 from Fenny Compton and went to a local Primary and secondary school before moving on to study higher education at Nottingham University.  I now work at Norbar and have just completed a PEO and for the first time in many years am no longer in education!

I have been a member of Rotaract since the club first began in 2012.  I recently married my husband John and moved to Towcester meaning a long commute to Banbury for Rotaract - but I am happy to do it because there is no other Rotaract club like Banbury; they are a down to earth, fun loving group of young professionals! Highly recommended.

I joined Rotaract in early 2012 having been introduced to the concept by a Rotarian whilst attending a Banbury Chamber of Commerce event. Having moved to Banbury in 2008 I joined Rotaract with the aim of becoming more involved in the community in which I work, to make new friends and to raise money for charity.

I am a Commercial Property Solicitor at a firm in Banbury. In my spare time I love cooking, walking, cycling and spending time with my family and friends.

There have been so many Rotaract highlights so far it’s hard to choose, so far I have especially enjoyed: the Snowdon challenge, Banbury Family Fun Day and the Bake Sale in aid of Katharine House.
